Cranky Counter (Don’t Play This Game!)
We put out a new game for the Playdate, but seriously, you must have something more important you should be doing instead.
If you insist, you can download it and check it out. You turn a crank on the Playdate and a number goes up. That’s pretty cool I guess…

Last Updated: June 20, 2023
Platforms:
- iOS
- Android
- Google Play Store (Lite version, US)
- itch.io (Premium version, all supported countries and regions)
Launch Trailer:
Description:
You must take control of the Blunderbubb, the latest innovation in bubble-based defense technology, to shoot down the incoming deluge of colorful bubbles before you are completely overrun.
Just hold down to aim, and release to launch. Connect three or more bubbles with matching colors to pop them and remove them from the field.
The game features six different game modes to suit a wide variety of play styles:
- Arcade - Play through increasingly challenging levels filled with power-ups and bombs. Move quickly and stay ahead of the incoming bubbles to get the high score.
- Classic - Skip the power-ups and bombs in favor of pure bubble-popping action. Take your time and plan your next move to maximize your score.
- Time Attack - Race against the clock to clear out a set number of levels. Use the available power-ups and bombs however you want to get ahead, as long as you do it fast!
- Chaos - Uh oh, the whole thing’s gone haywire! Someone took Arcade mode and permanently flipped the Blunderbubb’s auto-fire switch. Can you survive long enough to build up your score?
- Chill Arcade - Chill out with this variation of Arcade mode that removes the pressure of incoming bubbles. Play as long as you like in a sandbox of power-ups and bombs.
- Chill Classic - Pure, endless, low-stakes bubble popping. It doesn’t get more relaxing than this.
